MACHO TECH Construction Developed with Paul Schmitt.
Cordano and Paul worked to develop a board that could withstand the size and strength of Cordano and after 2 years and hundreds of decks we introduce MACHO TECH Construction.
- Reinforcement: It involves adding fiberglass beneath the top face of the deck, which strengthens the board where it is most likely to break during heavy landings and stress.
- Enhanced durability: The design helps the deck withstand significant pressure, such as from repeated impacts and the mass and inertia of a skater like Cordano Russell, who was involved in developing the technology.
- Strategic placement: The fiberglass is strategically placed on the deck to increase resistance to chipping and stretching.
- Optimal flexibility: MachoTech strikes a balance between stiffness and flexibility by using a top layer of organic hemp fabric infused with water-based glue. This helps the board flex appropriately without bowing or losing its pop.
- Skaters involved: The technology was perfected with insights from professional skater Cordano Russell, who tested the boards for strength and durability.
How it works
The construction is designed to dissipate stress and energy by keeping it moving along the board rather than concentrating it in a single spot, which can cause breaks. The fiberglass reinforcement ensures that the deck can handle the forces applied by larger skaters or during high-impact tricks.
